3. Filing Guidance by Country

🇬🇧 United Kingdom

  • Where to File: HMRC Self Assessment portal (gov.uk/self-assessment-tax-returns).
  • Form: SA108 (Capital Gains summary).
  • Deadline: 31 January following the tax year.
  • Using the Report: Copy your “Total Proceeds”, “Allowable Costs”, and “Net Gain/Loss” directly into SA108. Keep the TaxAnon PDF as backup evidence in case of HMRC queries.

🇺🇸 United States

  • Where to File: IRS filing system (e-file or via tax software like TurboTax, H&R Block).
  • Forms: Form 8949 (Sales & Dispositions of Capital Assets) + Schedule D (Capital Gains).
  • Deadline: 15 April (with automatic extensions possible).
  • Using the Report: TaxAnon provides a CSV with each transaction. Import directly into TurboTax or copy summary totals into Form 8949. Attach report if audited.

🇨🇦 Canada

  • Where to File: CRA (Canada Revenue Agency) via MyAccount or tax software (Wealthsimple, TurboTax Canada).
  • Form: Schedule 3 (Capital Gains or Losses).
  • Deadline: 30 April.

🇦🇺 Australia

🇩🇪 Germany

  • Where to File: ELSTER online tax portal.
  • Form: Anlage SO (Other Income).
  • Deadline: 31 July (extensions available).

🇫🇷 France

  • Where to File: Impots.gouv.fr online portal.
  • Forms: Form 2086 (Capital Gains) + Form 3916 (crypto account declaration).

🇮🇪 Ireland

  • Where to File: Revenue Online Service (ROS).

🇪🇸 Spain

  • Where to File: Agencia Tributaria portal.
  • Forms: Modelo 100 (Income Tax Return) + Modelo 721 (Crypto Assets abroad, if >€50k).
  • Deadline: 30 June.

🇮🇳 India

  • Where to File: Income Tax Department e-filing portal.
  • Form: ITR-2 or ITR-3 (depending on other income).
  • Deadline: 31 July.

🇸🇬 Singapore

  • Where to File: IRAS myTax Portal.
  • Form: Individual Income Tax Return.

🇦🇪 United Arab Emirates (Dubai/Abu Dhabi)

  • Where to File: Currently, no personal income or capital gains tax on crypto.
